Review by hotel critic
The hotel boasts a well-appointed swimming pool and wellness area, an ideal retreat after exploring the picturesque surroundings. One highlight was the welcome aperitif on the panoramic terrace, where I sipped a delightful local wine while soaking in the breathtaking vistas. Breakfast was a feast, with a bountiful selection of freshly baked breads, juicy fruits, and eggs cooked to order-fueling me perfectly for a day of adventure. But the real culinary discovery was dinner; the dishes prepared in-house resonated with authenticity. I had recently dined in Milan at a pricy establishment, yet my meal here had more warmth and heartfelt flavor, clearly showcasing the care taken in the kitchen. The restaurant's inviting ambiance, combined with attentive staff interested in guest wellbeing, made for an enjoyable dining experience. Not to mention, the cosy fireplace in the house bar added a lovely touch to unwinding after a day spent hiking. A short walk to the village and funiculars only sweetens the experience. The Alpenheim stands as a wonderful option for anyone wanting to indulge in both relaxation and gourmet experiences.
